World Record Muskie in Gananoque, Ontario

Dale McNair out of Gananoque, Ontario caught this world record size Muskie. A lot of fisherman say you have to kill a fish for it to be world record catch. But from high sources such as Muskie Hunter Magazine, they are calling it a world record catch and release fish. Be honest with you, I think it's great that he released the fish. Let it live on for a few more years, maybe it will be bigger. It makes me wonder though, how much would this fish would of been worth if he kept. If you're not familiar with world record fish, they are very valuable. I'm talking possibly 6 figures, maybe 7 in some cases.

This world record Muskie was caught in the St. Lawrence River while trolling. McNair said they saw the fish on their depthfinder before hooking it. That must of been an incredible experience! The fish came in at a whopping 65pounds, what set the record was length and girth. I'm just mystified by this catch!

Maybe one day I'll be able to see a fish this big at the end of my line.
