Smallmouth is by far my favorite fish to catch.  If you find a school of smallmouth on your fish finder, you are sure in for a treat.  These fish are strong fighters, if you ever hooked a four pound smallmouth, you know what I'm talking about.  Your rod will be surely bent over with a big lunker bass.

So where do you find these beautiful fish at, in deeper waters of course.  Use a tube jig or a deep diving crankbait, you'll surely hook one or two of them in a day.

Trolling is a great way to find these fish since they travel in schools. 

Do some research in your state and try and find the bodies of water that hold these fish.  It will truly make it a fun day of fishing.
